The weather will be fabulous- come out and join us in Concord on Saturday and in Richmond on Sunday!
Lambda Dems will be there making sure everyone remembers to VOTE on JUNE 5th!
This evening on May 22nd, 2018 the cities of Antioch, Concord, and Richmond will be reading the Pride Proclamations for LGBTQI Pride Month at their respective City Council Meetings. Check local city web sites for times, Antioch City Council meeting starts at 7 pm and will be broadcast live on channel 24 on comcast. This is the first year that Antioch has had an official Pride Proclamation. Harvey would be proud. Various members of Lambda Democratic Club of Contra Costa County will be in attendance at the various meetings this evening. Join Us!

Releases Official Candidate Endorsements
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (April 30th 2018)
The Lambda Democratic Club, the first and only LGBTQ Democratic Club of Contra Costa County CA held a historic membership vote last week in Richmond for their first official endorsement of local, State, and U.S. candidates for the 2018 elections.
The general membership meeting was held in Richmond CA last Wednesday on April 25th and several of the candidates were in attendance to greet the crowd gathered, speak about their campaign, and answer questions. After all the candidates spoke, voting was opened.
Lambda Dems President, Cesar Zepeda formally welcomed the crowd. Several Board members and Officers of the Lambda Dems were also on hand heralding a huge milestone for the Club who just celebrated their first year recently.

“These endorsements show the incredible number of candidates taking a stand for LGBTQI rights and progressive leadership at the County, State, and Federal level. First Openly Gay Man and Filipino American Mayor of City of El Cerrito
EL CERRITO, CA December 21, 2017: The Lambda Democratic Club of Contra Costa County and the East Bay Stonewall Democratic Club congratulate Councilmember Gabriel Quinto on being selected as 2018’s mayor during the reorganization of the city council. Gabriel Quinto is El Cerrito’s first Filipino American and openly gay man mayor as well as the third mayor of color in its 100 year history. Gabriel Quinto has been a member of the Lambda Democratic Club of Contra Costa County since its inception, and a pass board member of Stonewall Democratic Club.
“Mayor Quinto has broken many glass ceilings. Being the first to break glass ceilings is not easy, but his strong leadership has set a solid foundation for many generations to come,” said Cesar Zepeda, President of Lambda Democratic Club.
The ceremony was held on, Tuesday, December 19th at 7:00 pm at El Cerrito City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Avenue, in El Cerrito, California.

In addition to normal club business, we will have a special guest sharing and talking with us about our LGBTQI history and holding an election for our club’s AD14 Pre-Endorsement Caucus Delegate.*
